If world history has recorded and analyzed all the psychological methods of war and resistance in a society and sees them primarily as a phenomenon of the “successful” application of political influence, then I can state with certainty that Macedonia is currently victim of a classic, brutal and above all manipulative “fear” game, which aims to convince us of the unconvincing reality, using all methods and techniques of influence and pressure.
The “culture of fear” is nothing new and unknown. It is about establishing social control through the psychological manipulation of human emotions. Historically, this phenomenon is characteristic of rulers in Western societies, who in turn are the main generators of this type of manipulative governance techniques. But this does not mean that today it is not practiced in all countries of the world.
It is precisely this manifestation of a “culture of fear” from the most naive – individual, historical, to the most complex – collective, which stands quite successfully behind the biggest wars and disasters that humanity has experienced.
A “culture of fear” is characteristic of right-wing movements and policies. But in a world of lost ideological values, the same phenomenon does not choose sides, ideology or affiliation. Nazi Germany is a classic example of the introduction of such brutal propaganda of fear, through media feeding its citizens to convince and accept the policies of war. The same thing is happening today, in the context of the war between Russia and Ukraine, and the influences and policies of the West and the East – whose interests are expressed in a more manipulative way through the media, which has become the main tool in the implementation of this phenomenon.
In the framework of the beginning of the process of constitutional changes in the Assembly of Macedonia, experienced for the last time through the implementation of the Prespa Agreement in order to change the constitutional name, it seems that fear and intimidation towards citizens and above all towards political dissidents is gaining a new momentum. The lack of support for such a process requires the use of this type of psychological methods and techniques of intimidation, which in turn are a reflection and image only of undeveloped, immature and undemocratic societies.
Generally, this kind of cerebral psychological warfare has the connotation of blackmail or threat. What do we get from our government and European politics, which every day sends us emissaries with certain messages to support the process of constitutional changes?! If you don’t do this and that – you won’t progress to where you started… or if you don’t make changes to the constitution, you’ll be isolated, and now we’ve got the latest from the domestic scene that if we don’t support the process of changing the constitution , we are all Russian “worlds” and we work for the good of Russia! “What a terrible age in which idiots rule the blind.” – Shakespeare would say.
Yes! We know that humanity’s oldest and strongest emotion is fear, and the oldest and strongest type of fear is the fear of the unknown. This is exactly what is happening to us now… Macedonia has proven to be a successful example of the implementation of this culture of fear, starting from independence and ending with Prespa, and that more than three times?! We changed the Constitution, we changed the name of the country, then we changed the flag, we signed all kinds of destructive and undignified agreements at the expense of something that we don’t even think to put on paper, and all this as a result of an external culture of fear, of carried out by frightened domestic politics.

Those “serious people from above” have lost all credibility in our eyes, and ours have never had the same, so now all criminal acts flow through their legs. In such a situation, not only can we not trust them, but we don’t even want to!
