Every child deserves to live free from violence… But today, children are paying a very high price for the ever greater and more present dysfunction of the family as a social unit, the disintegrating state system, the sick education system and impunity for a deed done.
We should not remain indifferent to the bloody act in the Belgrade school, when a child killed a child! And the first thing that comes to my mind reading all those recent news and comments on social networks, which mostly come from neighboring Serbia, but also here, is how sick our society is, living every day in fear and insecurity, and what is the price that today’s youth has to pay, to make all this look as it does, so monstrous, horrible, immoral and worthless.. To finally prove that it is absolutely useless to talk about who he was, what he was, how he was? The deed has already been done – et hoc, and the inability to prevent it is what worries us the most – problems seen many times through global examples, where young people face threats of mass school shootings, domestic gun violence, community violence – neighborhood. parks and roads, so that in the end schools are the constant target of bomb threats, etc.
That’s why we need to ask the question out loud: Can we do much more to combat this urban pandemic of gun violence and commit to helping our children grow up healthy, safe, and fearless?

Otherwise we face a situation where home and school produce disaffected and frustrated youth, totally unfit for the struggles and challenges of life, in every sense. When this unfortunate and incomplete mentality is weighed down by all the external influences and troubles, tragedies like the one in Belgrade happen… and this is not so far from us!
All those comments and attitudes on social networks with radical content, from ridicule, support, punishment, guillotine, contempt, crimes, etc., give additional weight to this tragedy. which give the act an unnecessary plot, making the drama hysterical and more painful. I always say YES to a healthy expert review! But here the most incompetent parade! It brings to the surface all the unnecessariness of participating in social networks, even encouraging the banning of a large part of them, because they are indirectly responsible for the complexity and alienation of modern man and his inability to fight for a healthy society. Such cases first of all highlight all deviant phenomena of this type, in which the participation of social networks encourages even more the authors of the works. Therefore, we must make our country a safer place for raising children.
What is the first thing we as parents should do? A Belgrade slogan stole my heart! He says “Talk to the kids” – because it’s talking and listening to kids that makes things important. Talking improves our relationship with them and encourages them to listen to us. It helps them bond and build trust. Good communication with them is encouraging and aims for them to talk to you as well as listen to you in order to tell you how they feel. Positive communication is not just about saying nice things or sharing good news. The purpose is to stimulate and arouse all kinds of feelings, even when we are angry or embarrassed, miserable or afraid.
